Section 1: General:
1.1 USCS or ASCS rules apply, except specific rules below.
Section 2: Safety:
2.1 RIS general safety rules apply.
Section 3: Bodies:
3.1 No wings will be permitted
Section 4: Frame:
4.1 ASCS rules apply.
4.2
The halo bars on the 305’s are highly recommended but not
mandatory.
Section 5: Roll Cage:
5.1
ASCS rules apply.
Section 6: Firewalls:
6.1 ASCS rules apply.
Section 7: Wheels/Tires:
7.1 Right rear tire
must durometer 38 minimum at any time
7.2 Maximum right rear wheel widths is 18-inches, maximum left
rear wheel width is 15 inches.
7.3 Hoosier
Racing Tires on all 4 corners.
7.4 Left
front is the only tire you can run flat.
Section 8: Brakes:
8.1 ASCS rules apply.
Section 9: Suspension:
9.1 Safety strap must be affixed to drag link.
Section 10: Rear End:
10.1 ASCS rules apply.
10.2 Except for
gear rule – All cars will run a final drive ratio of 6:68 or
less

Battery & Electronics:
11.1 ASCS rules apply.
Section 12: Fuel
System:
12.1 Methanol or
Ethanol only. No Nitro or additives allowed.
12.2 Fuel
subject to be checked anytime by track officials. Fuel samples
may be taken for analysis and winnings may be withheld until
results are known. Penalty for fuel infractions will result in
forfeiture of all points and winnings won during event detected.
12.3 Fuel cell
must be securely mounted with bladder mandatory for all events.
12.4 Tanks used
for qualifying heats must remain for all events.

Section 13: General Engine Rules
13.1
316 max cubic inch limit/ 3.48 stroke
13.2
No titanium or ceramics will be permitted.
Section 14: Water Pumps:

May be cast iron or aluminum, stock OEM style, must bolt in the
stock location.
Section 15 Engine Block:
15.1
OEM production cast iron 305 Chevrolet only (no aftermarket).
15.2
No repositioning, boring, or bushing of cam or lifter bores.

Crankshaft:

OEM production crank or ANY brand of 3.480 stroke w/stock
weight. (Balancing only no “Knifing”)
Section 17: Connecting Rods:
17.1 OEM Chevrolet rods with stock length of 5.7”.
17.2
Any aftermarket “I” beam “stock replacement” style rod with a
max length of 5.7”.
17.3
No aluminum rods allowed.
17.4
No billet steel rods allowed.
Section 18: Pistons:
18.1
Any flat top two or four valve relief allowed.
18.2
Max “0” deck height (Piston may not protrude above deck surface)

Any piston rings.

Timing sets - Chain only. No belt or gear drives allowed.

Valve springs straight wound only max seat pressure 120lbs. must
have 5 full coils.

Any flat tappet lifter with max diameter of .842. NO roller or
mushroom style lifters allowed.

Any 5/16 diameter pushrod.

Any steel 7 or 10 degree valve spring retainer allowed.

Stamped steel or roller rocker arms allowed. No shaft systems,
rev kits, stud girdles, or valve stabilizers allowed.
Section 19: Oiling System:

Wet Sump Only (No Dry Sump allowed).
Section 20: Camshaft:

Flat Tappet only/No Rollers. No “hard face” cams.

Chevy's must utilize stock firing order (18436572)
Section 21: Valves:
21.1
2.02 intake/1.60 max head diameter allowed.
21.2
11/32 valve stem diameter only. NO titanium valves.
Section 22: Cylinder heads:
22.1
Cast Iron only, no modifications allowed to the port, bowl, or
chamber area. Minimum chamber volume is 64cc. The only stock
VORTEC head allowed is the 350 Vortec.
Any GM
stock head with minimum 64cc chamber is allowed. No grinding,
polishing, welding, acid or caustic work, shot peening, glass
beading, coating, or other process that will alter the machined
surfaces or natural sand cast finish. Heads must be untouched.
Comparisons will be made to known legal heads if questions
arise. The only exception allowed to this rule will be when
media blasting has been used for cleaning purposes only. This
determination will be made by the tech inspector(s). Any
questionable parts may be presented to track management for
inspection prior to assembly to avoid possible issues later.

chamber, straight plug)

RHS Pro Action p/n 12320. (200 runner, 2.02 / 1.60 valves, 64 cc
chamber, angle plug). --Part number 223400000 or 223400000A
stamped in the accessory bolt mounting flange on one end of the
head, also has 200 in casting under valve cover.
23.3
Dart Iron Eagle p/n 10320010 or 10230010P. (200 runner, 2.02 /
1.60 valves, 64 cc chamber, straight plug) --Part number stamped
in the accessory bolt mounting flange on one end of head, also
has 200 in casting under valve cover.
23.4
Dart Iron Eagle p/n 10310010 or 10310010P. (200 runner, 2.02 /
1.60 valves, 64 cc chamber, angle plug). --Part number stamped
in the accessory bolt mounting flange on one end of head, also
has 200 in casting under valve cover.

Section
24: Weight
24.1
Cars must weigh 1,400 pounds after race with the driver in the
car and no fuel added.
24.2
No bolt-on weight allowed.
Section
25: Protest/Post-Race Inspection
25.1 $500
for the top half of engine. $700 for complete engine.
25.2 Track
does NOT pay for labor or materials associated with teardown for
inspections.
25.3
Protest must be submitted within 10 minutes of feature
completion (drop of checkered flag) for that class. Car
protested has right to counter protest. Only top 5 can and on
the lead lap may protest.
25.4 Can
OR Can’t rule: Do not try to read between the lines in the rule
book. Just because the book doesn’t say you can’t, don’t assume
you can. Any modifications not specifically outlined here are at
the Tech Departments discretion. All final decisions will be
made by the tech Officials. Ask first before you assume
something is legal. Any violation of these rules will result in
disqualification of the car and points for that night.
Section 26: P&G/Teardown:
26.1 All participants are subject to a P&G test at anytime. If
a car wins 3 races during the season they will be subject to a
P&G test and/or engine teardown. Failure to comply with this
rule will result in automatic disqualification, loss of money
and points for that night. If a driver/owner refuses to the
inspection before the car is allowed to compete again the
car/engine will be inspected (inspection may include an engine
teardown).
